Is there a certain way you should build your beginner... or... is there no reason for me not to put tons into whatever I feel like putting it in?

My stomach feels like it's gonna explode any minute now.

Hmmm... Beginner stat points... I believe it would be just as similar as warrior's stat points. I forgot how my beginner's stat points went, but I would just go with "Level*2" for your DEX from level 1-40 or so. After that, just add in one point to Dex for each level. That way, your formula for that will be just a plain "Level + 40". Of course, the remaining points go into STR.
I'm not a beginner person, but that's just how I would do it.

Would that work? I thought the only reason you stop having DEX at your level * 2 is because of mastery at job change... would stopping the DEX at level * 2 at level 40 be good?

It all depends on what you're trying to go for.
DEX is only needed for accuracy. Otherwise, everything else should go into STR.
Thus, you'll need to find out how much accuracy you need to hit the desired monster.
Example : Say you wana fight _____. You need __ accuracy to hit the monster all the time. How much DEX is that?
If you're going to stay on the island, you don't need more than four DEX :3

It would be hard as hell to roll an x/4/4/4 though

I rolled it before.
took a screen shot, but deleted it.
but I decided it was a worthless role T_T Because I wanted to make a bandit -sigh-
(PS : it's 13/4/4/4)

Erm, nevermind, too lazy. I'll just write up a short one for you.
Get a max of 60 dex, a minimum of 40 by level 40. After level 40, the choice is yours. Would you rather hit lower leveled monsters with alot of damage, or be able to hit higher leveled monsters 100% of the time with decent damage?
Gwyn01, the top beginner in Windia, went high dex, having over 110 at level 50.
You can do whatever suits your taste.

Well like I said on that other topic =P All you're aiming for is as much STR as possible! I would kind of prefer 10 or more.
10 - Good 11 - Great!!! 12 - Just awesome. You won't need to go for 13 13 - If you get this, well you're just that damn lucky =P

Hm...I'm pretty sure there's a beginner guide on HiddenStreet... Whatever. If you're staying on the island forever you may also want luck. You get your str to the point you can one-hit KO everything, then keep adding luck to bring up your avoidability. I suppose it all depends on where you're going with the beginner...

Actually, once I have really good strength, I might add to LUK that's to increas avoidablitiy

Yeah, that's what someone else said. I would have actually suggested DEX, but now I don't too much. Basically it still adds to avoidability, not to mention it makes your damage more stable, but it's not too effective I added a while five points to DEX, but they're just wasted points now, kinda =/
